Chinchilli The Sea Turtle
“Chinchilli the Sea Turtle” is a platform game that consists of a hero (Chinchilli) with the aim to escape from a polluted and unsafe aquatic environment. You play as Chinchilli, a mother who has been forced to be separated from her children and is now stuck on the other side of the deep ocean. Using her mother’s instinct, Chinchilli must find her way through the toxic waste and pollution in the environment if she ever hopes to see her children again. While doing so, the game introduces several enemies (the plastics) whose goals are to attack the hero and kill her. Along the way, the hero is expected to collect pearls for a higher score, as well as algae that will heal any damage taken.
The game is intuitive and easy to get into. In addition, it utilises a consistent theme throughout the entirety of it which provides a clear understanding for any new audience. As for the gameplay, the interaction between the hero, the enemy, the obstacles and the user, creates an immersive experience that challenges the player to want to try again until they pass the level and escape the enemies as well as the polluted area. In addition, the game mechanics (bubbles, rocks, pearls, algae) work effectively in the game by providing a fair yet not easy gameplay.
The environment utilised for the different levels is creative yet not complex. This allows the player to have a clear distinction between what is part of the platform and what is part of the background. As for the start, win and lose screens, they are presented in a brief yet comprehensive way that involves a creative user-interface. Last but not least, all rules and controls are well presented on the home screen to help with understanding the goal of the game.
Explore a never seen world before, find and collect rare items found in the ocean. Play your way through the dark ocean and bring back the family together.
